Christian Walker, Herschel’s adult son, took to Twitter to defend The Daily Beast and attack his father.
“Everyone in Herschel Walker’s family told him not to run for office because we all knew about his past.” “Each and every one,” Walker wrote.
“He decided to give us the finger, air all of his dirty laundry in public, and lie about it all at the same time.
The abortion happened on September 12, 2009, according to the $575 receipt. And the Bank of America deposit slip shows that Walker gave the woman a $700 check on September 17, 2009. After two days, the check was deposited.
The woman told The Daily Beast that Walker sent her the check in the “get well” card. She also showed proof that she was dating Walker.
On the front of this card is a picture of a hot cup of tea, and the words “Rest, Relax…” On the inside of the card, the message says, “…Recover.”
The card is signed, “Hope you feel better,” with Walker’s signature “H” flourish at the end of his name.
The woman, who is a registered Democrat and still talks to Walker, said that he didn’t tell her about his plan to run for the Senate before August 2021, when he announced it. Since then, though, one of Walker’s top supporters has asked her many times if she would be willing to vouch for his character. He even asked her again in August of this year.
During a 40-minute phone call in June about one of Walker’s children he had with a woman he wasn’t married to, The Daily Beast asked him several times if he had ever had an abortion with any of his past partners. After trying to avoid the question several times, he finally said that he hadn’t.
Weeks later, at a campaign event, a Democratic activist pretending to be a Walker supporter asked the same question, asking the NFL star if he had ever “paid for” or “caused” someone to have an abortion.
Walker told the activist twice, “No,” which was caught on video by the activist.
Walker is running in one of the most important races in the country, and the winner could decide which party controls the Senate. It’s also one of the closest races in the country, with recent polls showing Walker just behind Sen. Raphael Warnock, the Democrat who is running against him.
But Walker has been rocked by reports that he has lied about his past and hidden several love children. His ex-wife says he put a gun to her head and said, “I’m going to blow your brains out.” Still, the claim that he not only told a romantic partner to get an abortion but also paid for it could be the most shocking thing that has been said so far.
